I took the bus from Chefchaouen to Tangier in order to catch the ferry to Tarifa, Spain. The bus ride was quite uneventful except for the wide assortment of used gum stuck to the back of the seat in front of me.

I stayed in the old medina and had dinner across the street. I had only one night to explore.
I took a walk to the ferry terminal to find out exactly when and where to catch the ferry the next morning. I talked to some men fishing from the dock. They said they seldom catch anything, but that was not the point of throwing lines. Fair enough. I saw the beautiful design of the old city from the street and wished I had booked more time here.

I realized I had to be back in Lisbon, Portugal for a return flight to Canada in a few weeks. Also, I wanted to visit my London kids while I was still on this side of the pond, one more time. I spent most of my time in the hotel room (which was bloody cold) booking Airbnb’s, buses and flights.

Even though the hotel advertised breakfast, they did not serve it. The reason was vague and had something to do with Covid. Huh? I left for the ferry terminal and had breakfast there.

It was a one hour ride to Tarifa, Spain. Once there, I had a few hours to kill before my bus to Sevilla. I found a nice little restaurant, had a meal and killed time.
I was off to Seville.
